Here are the top stories today in Roanoke:
- The Stomp the Violence Fall Festival is coming to Melrose Avenue tomorrow to "heal and help end gun violence" in the city of Roanoke. The festival will feature music, food, and speakers who have lived through gun violence first-hand. As of Nov. 1, Roanoke Police say there have been 61 incidents where someone was hit by gunfire in 2021. (WSLS 10)
- The Roanoke Valley's biggest holiday market is back this weekend at the Berglund Center after a COVID-19 hiatus last year. Stocked Market will be held in-person today through Sunday, featuring about 100 vendors from Virginia and across the country selling everything from furniture and jewelry to clothing and food. - The City of Roanoke's Parks and Recreation Advisory Board will be meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 16 at the Fishburn Mansion and invites the public to join the discussion on important upcoming parks matters. (Press Release Desk)
