Police responded to a car crash in the 3400 block of Norway Avenue NW, where a vehicle had crashed into a home with a man inside who appeared to have been shot. That same evening, another man who had been shot outside a home in the 300 block of Juniper Street had taken himself to Lewis Gale Hospital. Authorities believe both men were injured in the same incident. (WSLS 10)

That retention has saved the County more than $1 million in potential Children's Services Act costs over a two-year period. (Roanoke Times)
