• Rocky Mount residents renew effort to address Diamond Avenue bridge concerns (wdbj7.com) — Rocky Mount residents are pressing town and state leaders to fix the aging Diamond Avenue bridge, their only way in and out of a neighborhood of more than 600 people. Neighbors say loose planks, missing screws, and frequent train blockages raise serious safety concerns, while state officials insist the town must design and help fund the project before major grants can move forward. 
• Coty Brian Tiller (cable12ynn.com) — Rocky Mount residents are grieving the loss of 31-year-old Coty Brian Tiller, remembered as a devoted husband who loved fishing, his service dog Paisley, and helping others. Survived by his wife, siblings, and extended family, services will be private, with friends encouraged to consider memorial donations toward final expenses through Flora Funeral Service in Rocky Mount.
• Milton L. Craighead (cable12ynn.com) — Rocky Mount is mourning the passing of 53-year-old Milton Lamont Craighead, a Franklin County High School graduate remembered for his many jobs and close family ties. Born in Rocky Mount and most recently employed at Kroger Warehouse, he leaves behind siblings, nieces, nephews, and many friends. A celebration of life will be held later at his home.
