With $157 million now secured, construction is slated to start in 2028 and finish by 2031, as part of a broader package of Short Pump traffic fixes.

(henricocitizen.com) — Families in Short Pump who attend Henrico County schools may be affected as 18 schools, including Pemberton Elementary, deal with broken or inadequate air conditioning in certain classrooms. Parents are pressing the district for faster, long-term repairs, while officials say parts delays and manufacturer requirements are slowing permanent fixes and leaving some rooms dependent on portable units.
