The Ayr Hill Garden Club reported another successful plant sale on Saturday, May 11 at the Freeman Store in downtown Vienna. The club sold over $4200 worth of plants and related merchandise this year. The proceeds will go to support a variety of beautification projects in the town of Vienna, as well as educational programming, workshops, and promotion of native plants.
The event also provided an opportunity for town residents to learn more about gardening. A number of educational groups shared their knowledge and expertise, including the Fairfax Master Gardeners, Arlington Rose Society, Potomac Hosta, Old Dominion Chrysanthemum Society, Inc, Northern Virginia Chapter Azalea Society of America, and the Virginia Native Plant Society.
