Bike Lanes Proposed On Parts Of Cottage Street, Wolf Trap Road
Bike lanes are proposed for parts of Cottage Street and Wolf Trap Road outside the Town of Vienna as part of 2022 road repaving.

DUNN LORING, VA — Restriping plans have been proposed around Fairfax County, including areas close to the Town of Vienna, during 2022 repaving.
The Virginia Department of Transportation repaves hundreds of Fairfax County roads each year. The Fairfax County Department of Transportation coordinates with VDOT during repaving and restriping to implement measures for traffic safety and enhanced transportation options. The 2022 paving work will take place between April and November. Exact dates will be available 10 days before work starts, and "no parking" signs will be posted.
The Fairfax County Department of Transportation will hold virtual meetings on its restriping proposals in April. The proposals near Vienna are in the Providence District in Dunn Loring and Tysons.

On Cottage Street, bike lanes are proposed "where possible" between Gallows Road and Cedar Lane, according to the Fairfax County Department of Transportation. This portion of Cottage Street has one travel lane in each direction with turn lanes at Gallows Road and Cedar Lane. Travel lanes and parking lanes would be narrowed, but existing legal on-street parking will remain.
Bike lanes are also proposed for Wolf Trap Road between Gallows Road and the end of the road at the parkland. This area is near Kilmer Middle School and has one travel lane in each direction with on-street parking on parts. Existing travel lanes and parking lanes would be narrowed, but parking would be maintained.
