Car Fire Yields No Injuries In Vienna: Police
A car caught fire after colliding with another in Vienna, according to police.

VIENNA, VA—A crash in Vienna resulted in a car fire last Wednesday, Sept. 26, according to the police department.
Around 6:37 p.m., a vehicle stopped at Cherry Street was turning left onto Park Street while another vehicle was heading south on Park Street to turn right on Cherry Street.
The driver of the second car saw a sign reportedly indicating Cherry Street was closed. He turned off his signal and continued straight on Park Street. The other driver continued onto Park Street, seeing the other driver signaling to turn onto Cherry Street. That led to the vehicles colliding on Park Street.

No one was injured. Video posted by the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department shows a sizable fire coming from the front of the vehicle. Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the blaze once the occupants were out of the cars.
The vehicles were towed from the scene.

During the time of the crash, Town of Vienna crews were conducting road work on Cherry Street and Mill Street SE between Center Street and Park Street. The Town announced Cherry Street would be closed between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., but it was unclear if a road closure sign was up.
