Car Windows Smashed, Purses Stolen In Two Vienna Incidents
Vienna Police say the victims were at a preschool and playground when vandals smashed the car windows.

VIENNA, VA—Car smashing incidents have reappeared in Vienna as police investigate a new pair of incidents. Both happened in the afternoon on Wednesday, Dec. 20.
In the first incident, a woman parked at the Tiny Tots preschool (204 Courthouse Road SW) and came back to discover the window smashed. Her purse and shopping bags were gone, and she later learned the vandal had used her bank card twice for purchases at Walgreens. The vandal had likely struck between 3 p.m. and 6:15 p.m.
The other incident happened at Glyndon Park (300 Glyndon Street NE). The woman left her purse on the floor of the car and returned from the park to find it gone and the car window smashed. This happened within a half hour between 3:30 p.m. and 4 p.m.
