Cherry Blossom Peak, Kite Fest, Wine Fling: NoVA, DC Weekend Events

VIRGINIA — The latest full weekend of March is here in Northern Virginia and DC, and the cherry blossoms are at their peak.

The National Cherry Blossom Festival takes center stage as cherry blossom trees started peak bloom on Thursday. Major events planned this weekend are the National Cherry Blossom Festival Opening Ceremony and Blossom Kite Festival.

Before March ends, there are various ways to celebrate Women's History Month. Check out Women's History Tours at Ferry Farm & Historic Kenmore in Fredericksburg, Women's Storytelling Festival and Del Ray Women's History Walk in Alexandria.
