VIENNA, VA — With Santa's arrival and a Christmas tree lighting, the Church Street Holiday Stroll will usher in the holiday season Monday in Vienna.

The Church Street Stroll is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. Monday in front of the Freeman Store and Museum, 131 Church St NE, Vienna, VA. Festivities will start with musical entertainment from local school groups as well as holiday greetings from Mayor Linda Colbert, the Vienna Town Council and other elected leaders.

New this year to the Church Street Holiday Stroll is a tree lighting ceremony involving a decorated evergreen tree on the Freeman Store lawn. The Town of Vienna introduced a new contest for residents to submit multicultural holiday displays to go with the Freeman Store tree. The winning display, chosen through a lottery process, is expected to be installed between Nov. 28 and Dec. 3 and remain up until Jan. 10, 2024.
