CustomInk Launches 'CustomInk by Appointment'

Looking to personalize a gift for the holidays or maybe create a custom T-shirt for everyone at that holiday gathering? Or sweatshirts for your child’s sports team? Or special hats for an office outing? The possibilities are endless.

CustomInk, a company with national reach based in Northern Virginia’s Mosaic District, has recently launched a new, free service to customers in the Washington metropolitan area. Once you’ve made your appointment, it’s easy to stop by. You can park right outside CustomInk on the street or there’s garage parking; the Vienna Metro is also nearby, with a shuttle that runs between the Metro and Mosaic.

​​Dubbed “CustomInk by Appointment” the new service allows you to come in, and with help from a “T-shirt Ambassador,” create anything from shirts for a family ski trip to customizing gear for the next company outing or something fun for a destination wedding.

Once you make your appointment, you can narrow down your choices as much as possible before you go in; but if you don’t, no worries. Patch stopped by to check out the service on Tuesday with help from T-shirt Ambassador Rob Cheseldine, who patiently (and cheerfully) walked us through the creative process (did we mention there are lots of options?).

You’ll choose from a variety of T-shirts and sweatshirts or whatever you’re customizing. You’ll get help choosing colors, as well as fonts. You can bring in your own artwork, such as favorite photos or a company logo, or choose from artwork provided by CustomInk. You’ll also get an opportunity to check out sizing and fit. And you’ll see what your final product will look like before it’s created.

The new service is easy and free – all the company requires is an appointment, which can be completed on customink.com/appointments. Once you’ve completed your design experience, you’ll get a date for the estimated time of arrival for your custom items.
