After almost 40 years in business, Damon Galleries Ltd. has closed. Shirley Damon CPF, founder and president, has opted for a well-deserved retirement, and more time to spend with her family and friends.
However, the Damon legacy of fine craftsmanship and innovative framing design will continue, and Damon Framing Studio will open at 213 Mill Street NE, Vienna VA 22180 in late August. Owned and operated by Steve Rigby and Taffy Millar, long-time staff members, the Studio is located next to the Pennywise Thrift Shop at the corner of Church and Mill Streets. It's at street level, with plenty of parking, and the phone number, 703-938-7000, remains the same.
