WASHINGTON, DC — As September continues, more fall-themed events are starting to appear. This weekend will start with a more somber occasion as Americans mark the 20th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks.

We've rounded up local events happening Friday, Sept. 10 through Sunday, Sept. 12. This weekend includes remembrance events for the 20th anniversary of 9/11, return of the Washington Football Team, Northern Virginia Fine Arts Festival, Old Town Cocktail Week, Falls Church Festival, Taste of One Loudoun, Virginia Black Business Expo, Adams Morgan Day and much more.

When heading out this weekend, be aware of mask policies. DC is requiring anyone 2 and older to wear a mask in indoor public places. Virginia is recommending but not requiring masks in indoor public places.
