Dead Puppies Found Near Dumpster In Tysons: Police

An investigation determined the puppies died from blunt force trauma to their heads.

TYSONS, VA—Police are seeking a person for leaving two dead puppies in Tysons.

Officers were called to the 1900 block of Gallows Road on Monday, March 11 when the dead puppies were found next to a dumpster. A necropsy determined the puppies died from blunt force trauma to their heads.

Police were not able to determine the puppies' breed since they were only about a month old. One was a male puppy with a blue merle coat and the other was a female with a fawn colored coat.

Police urge anyone who can no longer care for their pet to surrender it to the Fairfax County Animal Shelter.
