Unveiling of a DHR (state) marker commemorating J.E.B. Stuart's first engagement against the Union cavalry in the American Civil War. This action took place on Nov. 26, 1861 and received national recognition via the Harper's Weekly Dec. 21, 1861 edition. The action was referred to the "Skirmish Near Hunter's Mill." The Union's 3rd Pa. Cav. suffered a 35% casualty rate that day.
