Thaylobleu + The Good Fight + The Unlikely Hero + The Velvet Ants

Thaylobleu is a bass heavy rock sound that visits hip hop, reggae, jazz and soul. The front man is Terence Nicholson (Sub-Z from Opus Akoben). His music is driving, and growling when it rocks. Colorful and melancholy when it rolls. Having grown up in DC, Nicholson was exposed to the sensibilities of groups like Black Flag, Bad Brains, Rare Essence, Chuck Brown, and a myriad of hip mc's and Jamaican DJ's. He was carrying equipment for a rock band that lived next door to him when he was 11 years old, which got him exposed to Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin and other artists of that era. Thaylobleu is on the verge of dropping their debut album "Purge." The band consists of Nicholson-guitar/vocals, Darrell Perry-lead guitar, Bill Vaughn-bass, Ayce International-turntables and Joe Hall-drums.

THE GOOD FIGHT
Started in November of 2010 and reincarnated March of 2012, The Good Fight, currently running on their 2.0 operating system, is a pop punk band from Arlington, VA. With each member coming from different bands and different backgrounds, the guys were able to put their heads together and write an incredibly cliche bio to tell you their music kicks ass. With their melodic vocals, catchy leads, driving beats, and the occasional bone crushing breakdown, the guys, whether on stage or in the studio, will make sure they leave their fans with something they'll remember. Stay tuned for their debut EP "Turnin' Tricks Makin' HIts" this summer. -GFY

THE VELVET ANTS
The Velvet Ants were formed in 2006 by Trevor Hart and Ian Margolycz. They released two albums in February of 2007 called Lunatic Frame and Pixie Junk (a collection of b-sides). Both were self-produced and released on the bands own label, T!LT Records. Only a few hundred copies were made, hand numbered and personalized by the band members themselves. Both discs were made available at local record shops in the D.C. area. 2009 saw the worldwide re-release of Lunatic Frame in digital format. In Summer of 2011, the band started work on a new album called Advantage (co-produced and mixed by Ken Stringfellow of The Posies). Advantage, released in February of 2012, is now available for purchase online. An Extras album is also in the works including outtakes, alternate versions and original mixes from the sessions. The band currently performs in the DC/MD/VA area
