@JamnJavaDoorGal’s LOCAL SCENE: The Duskwhales + Just Another Scene + The Atlantic Light

The Duskwhales are a "gypsy rock" band from Northern Virginia made up of four hip kids who play good music and eat disgusting amounts of pizza. Over the years, The Duskwhales have performed at a variety of venues including Jammin Java, Jaxx Niteclub, Epicure Cafe, Caffe Amouri, as well as a variety of parties and school events. They are currently set to compete in the YouthFest Battle of the Bands finals on May 6 at the Brambleton Town Center in Ashburn, VA. They have released a demo CD entitled "Terrify" and have plans to professionally record their first full length album this summer in Pennsylvania. The Duskwhales' style is quite diverse and they are very interested in expanding their talent and getting their music out.

JUST ANOTHER SCENE
Just Another Scene^TM is a pop-punk band from Northern Virginia. They've been taking the area by storm for the past year, have won numerous Battle of the Bands, completed a debut EP with a record label, finished their first self-produced EP just in time for the summer, and are now currently recording their full-length with 8-Track Records! Be sure to catch them on tour/at shows with some of your favorite artists!

THE ATLANTIC LIGHT
The Atlantic Light was created in December of 2011 with a line up consisting of former members of Maryland band, "The Dukes." Sonam Tandin Wong, along with life-long friend and fellow Dukie, JJ Foley, then recruited Johnny Chay to become a part of the group. The band lineup was set, and after a few days in the studio, The Atlantic Light was born. The band released their self-titled EP on Jan 11th, 2012 and looks to take the upcoming year head on.
