TheRuinCity + AudioStrobeLight + Accidents (CD Release) + Big Paper Airplanes + Farah &The Boy + Daniel Wrigley in Vienna user reviews and comments

Located throughout the Washington DC area, TheRuinCity is a five-piece pop rock band strongly influenced by bands such as Augustana, The Fray, Switchfoot and Copeland. Founded and led by the writing styles of lead singer Mike Daknis and rhythm guitar player David Hoppel, TheRuinCity prides themselves in creating music with a positive message of hope. With David's little brother Josh on the lead guitar, and Kyle O'Keefe and Dillon Knighton playing bass and drums respectively, their band consists of long-term relationships and new friendships alike. Their first self-titled EP was released on iTunes September 4th, with all proceeds going to benefit a non-profit called Love146, which helps rehabilitate the victims of child sex trafficking. Their mission coincides with TheRuinCity's desire to use their music for a purpose greater than themselves. Their love of music, each other, and just having a good time results in a show filled with energy and passion. They are currently playing shows all around the DC area and working on writing new songs in hopes of releasing another EP or full length within the next year.

Audiostrobelight, the Virginia Beach five-piece, is a blend of driving pop-punk, heavy and technical rock, and deliciously electronic pop. Featuring dual vocalists, keyboards, electric violin/mandolin, and dance interludes, they bring a truly diverse, high-energy rock show. After a period of rapid growth and change, Audiostrobelight has had the opportunity to complete two EPs, their most recent release, The Whole Shebang, and tours spanning throughout the east coast and across the Midwest. Whether playing a basement or an amphitheater, Audiostrobelight is notorious for their high-energy rock show and overall infectiously fun demeanor. Since their inception, they have shared the stage with an impressive collection of major industry names such as Fall Out Boy, Taking Back Sunday, Veara, The Wonder Years, Cobra Starship, Anberlin, Say Anything, +44, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, The Academy Is..., The Ataris, the 2010 Van's Warped Tour and many more.

Accidents are known for their energetic live shows and their hook-filled songs. With only one EP under their belt, they have loads more ground to cover and have no intentions of stopping any time soon.

Clean creases of paper meet in the center, folding together to create a simple paper airplane. With the right care and construction, success may follow allowing it to cut and glide through the air. Without proper attention to the assembly, a destructive crash may follow, further accentuated by the simple steps of passers by, crushing all its potential.

This same careful construction has been applied to Washington D.C. based alternative rock band "Big Paper Airplanes." With a warm and engaging sound, BPA released their first EP "Under Blue Skies" in January 2011. Drawing influence from U2, The Smiths, 30 Seconds to Mars and Coldplay, the band combines lyrics and music rooted in personal experience. With a mixture of reality, relationships, love and loss, BPA projects a truthful sound to their music with passion masked behind each individual word of their lyrics.
