Man Dead In Four-Vehicle I-66 Crash Near Vienna
A Manassas man died in the crash near the Route 123 exit. The collision spurred delays out to Prince William County.

A fatal crash on Interstate 66 near Vienna caused major delays during the Tuesday morning commute.
The crash happened on eastbound I-66 after Route 123 around 4:31 a.m. Three pickup trucks and a car collided, according to Virginia State Police.
The car driver, Juan Bernabe Reinaga Zapata, 21, of Manassas, died at the scene. Two other drivers were taken to Fairfax Inova Hospital for serious but non-life threatening injuries.

At one point, all lanes were blocked and delays stretched out for 15 miles—to Prince William County—according to a tweet from Fairfax County.
The delays were exacerbated by a second crash, according to WTOP. All eastbound lanes had reopened by 8:30 a.m.

The cause of the crash is under investigation. Police have not charged anyone at this time.
Update: Multi-Vehicle Crash with Injuries I-66 EB past VA-123 (Exit 60/Chain Bridge Road). Two right lanes are now open. Two left lanes remain blocked with incident and on-going investigation. Delays are approximately 14.5 miles before VA-234 (Exit 47/Sudley Road).
