Gluten-Free Dessert Shop In Vienna Area Plans Grand Opening
Terra's Ice Cream, Coffee, & Sweets is holding a grand opening event after a soft opening over the summer.
VIENNA, VA — Terra's Ice Cream, Coffee, & Sweets, a gluten-free shop for sweet treats, is ready to have its grand opening after a soft opening in August just outside the Town of Vienna.
The shop had opened in August at 2070 Chain Bridge Rd #180, Vienna, VA, which is the building some locals call the "toilet bowl building." The grand opening and ribbon cutting will be held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 20.
At the event, guests can enjoy free ice cream tastings, meet the shop's dairy partner and learn about the A2 milk used in the ice cream, baked goods and coffee. Local tea vendor Lead the Way will also participate to share details of locally-sourced teas. The first guests will receive a special gift from the business while supplies last.

According to the business website, owner Terra Bechara drew inspiration from her family. Her grandparents came from Lebanon, and her grandmother worked at Alexandria's Mediterranean Bakery and Cafe. Her mother opened the former Yum Yum Ice Cream Cafe. After pausing culinary aspirations to raise her five children, Bechara returned to experimenting with gluten-free recipes and decided to open a business. Items from the business, such as ice cream, ice cream cones and baked goods, are made in house.
