Gun Store Opens in Vienna Off of Church Street

A new store that sells firearms has opened in Vienna, according to an online ad placed on craigslist.

The store is one of the few such establishments in Northern Virginia. The only others closer to being inside the Beltway are located in Falls Church and McLean.

Old Glory Firearms, located at 235 Mill St. NE (see map below) in Vienna says in their craigslist ad that they buy, sell and consign military items and firearms from all eras.

The store’s Web site notes that the store sells and has in stock handguns, shotguns, Glock pistols, semi-automatic rifles, knives and more.

Stores that sell firearms in Arlington and McLean became somewhat controversial lately, with the Arlington store closing before it even opened due to the community not supporting the idea.

It’s uncertain whether there was much discussion about the opening of the store in Vienna; a scan of Town of Vienna agenda items shows the owner requested approval of a sign at a recent meeting in September.

The Vienna store is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
