How Vienna Voted In The Board Of Supervisors Primary

VIENNA, VA—Tuesday's primary election in Virginia determined state legislative and local candidates moving on to the Nov. 5 general election. While Vienna voters didn't have any primaries for Virginia General Assembly seats, there were a few key local races.

Lee District Supervisor Jeff McKay won the Democratic primary for Fairfax County Board of Supervisors chairman, while Walter Alcorn won the Democratic primary for the Hunter Mill district supervisor, who represents Vienna and Reston.

Vienna area precincts overall chose McKay and Alcorn. With 100 percent of Fairfax County precincts reporting vote totals, some of the top Vienna area precincts for McKay were: Flint Hill (50.48 percent), Oakton (46.34 percent), Madison (44.87 percent), Westbriar (43.89 percent) and Vienna #4 (41.27 percent).

The top precincts for Alcorn were: Westbriar (58.69 percent), Flint Hill (55.84 percent), Wolf Trap (54.02 percent), Vienna #2 (52.98 percent) and Vienna #1 (51.28 percent).
