I-66 Ramp To Vienna/Fairfax Metro Closing For 3 Weeks: VDOT
Drivers are asked to use alternate exits from westbound Interstate 66 during the ramp closure.

VIENNA, VA — Commuters heading from westbound Interstate 66 to the Vienna/Fairfax Metro Station will need to find an alternate route temporarily. The westbound I-66 ramp to the Metro station will close for about three weeks, starting around this upcoming Monday.
The Virginia Department of Transportation said the closure is needed for continued construction of new westbound I-66 Express and regular lanes for the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project. The exit is located at Country Creek Road and Virginia Center Boulevard.
The ramp will close around 10 p.m. Monday. During the closure, drivers can use the Nutley Street exit as an alternative. At the exit, drivers should stay to the right to northbound Nutley Street, stay to the left and turn left at the traffic signal to Virginia Center Boulevard.

Another alternative is the Route 123 exit. Traffic will turn left at the traffic signal onto southbound Route 123, stay to the right for the ramp to eastbound I-66, exit to Nutley Street, stay to the left, turn left onto northbound Nutley Street, stay to the left and turn left at the signal to Virginia Center Boulevard.
VDOT expects the ramp closure to continue for about three weeks. The I-66 Express Lanes between the Capital Beltway and University Boulevard in Gainesville are on track to open in December 2022. For project updates, visit outside.transform66.org.
