LearningRx Reston & Vienna Present Presidents Day Contest Winners

Local Students Recite U.S. Presidents in Seconds While Juggling and Jump Roping

Two local students, Toni Birnett , 16, of Arlington, Va., and John Blysak, 13 of Herndon, Va., earned first place for reciting the 45 U.S. Presidents sequentially in less than a minute at their local LearningRx brain training centers in Vienna/Tysons Corner, Va. and Reston, Va., respectively, as part of LearningRx’s annual Presidents Day contest. Birnett was able to recite the U.S. Presidents within a minute while jumping rope, while Blysak did it while balancing on a board and juggling. For more information, go to www.learningrx.com.

The contest is designed to encourage kids across the country to create videos that demonstrate the memory and focus skills they improved with LearningRx brain training.

"Every year we offer our students a President’s Day challenge, where they can showcase their long-term memory and processing skills," said Maureen Loftus, executive director of LearningRx of Reston, Va. and Vienna/Tysons Corner, Va. “Being able to recite all 45 U.S. Presidents quickly, while doing another activity, takes a high level of focus and concentration,” said Loftus.
