'Live Puppy Nativity' in Vienna Giving Dogs a Role in Holiday Tradition
The Church of the Good Shepherd (United Methodist) is asking residents to bring their dogs to pose in a nativity scene.

VIENNA, VA — OK, Fido, sit. You're going to be Joseph. Over here, Buttons, you're going to be Mary. Stop yelping, Mookie! You're going to be the baby Jesus.
Further evidence that the world has gone to the dogs will be presented 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Dec. 17 at the Church of the Good Shepherd (United Methodist), with the "Live Puppy Nativity."
The church is located at 2351 Hunter Mill Road. The idea for the event came from first-year pastor Eric Song.

Song is urging area residents to dress their dogs in traditional nativity-scene garb to pose at the manger alongside the Three Canine Kings.
If you can't figure out how to costume your mutt, don't sweat it. Bring it and the church staff will dress it.
