Local Acupuncturist/Songwriter Debuts New Album Friday, August 16
First New Album in 20 Years

By day, Joseph H Cannariato is a licensed Virginia Acupuncturist serving Falls Church, Vienna, McLean, Tyson’s Corner, and regional Northern Virginia patients in his Acuheal NoVa clinic (http://www.acuhealnova.com/). Cannariato graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine.
By night, 8:00pm Friday night August 16th at Jammin Java to be specific, Cannariato assumes his alter ego Lumen Jingos (http://www.lumenjingos.com/) and will debut songs from his new EP album “Buona Notte Iago” on OneLessToe Records. His first track is available on his BandCamp channel (https://lumenjingos.bandcamp.com/music). “It’s ponderous that two dramatically different occupations—Oriental Medicine and songwriter/musician/performer—actually flow into one another,” Cannariato observed. “This is a real example of the Yin/Yang phenomenon. My natural healing training now helps me produce music best described as musical Qi for the soul.”

The band flirted with national breakout success. Then, as with so many bands, jealousy, betrayal, and lack of honoring commitments destroyed the group.
Cannariato continued his passion for writing original songs, but never found musicians to launch a band. As years flew by, it became apparent that Lumen Jingos was destined to become a solo effort. Cannariato played or programmed every instrument on the album, with the exception of the track “Dragonfly” with Slambovians lead guitarist Sharkey McEwen providing lead guitar and high harmony backing vocals.
