Marshall Marching Band Holding 'Tag Day' to Help Fund New Uniforms
The band has earned Honor Band status in Virginia two years in a row, but now is in need of new uniforms as its membership exceeds 100 kids.

The Marshall High School marching band has grown in popularity through the years, but through its recent growth and success, the band is in need of fundraising help as it tries to provide uniforms for its growing number of members, now at 102 students.
With this in mind, the marching band will host its annual Tag Day on Saturday, Sept. 12. Chaperoned students will go door-to-door in the Falls Church and Vienna communities to solicit donations and thank community members for their support. The money will help the band pay for new uniforms, instruments and more.
Last school year, Marshall’s marching band earned the distinction of 2014-15 Honor Band of Virginia, the highest honor that ban be bestowed by the Virginia Band and Orchestra Directors Association (VBODA).
