Mayor, New 2024 Vienna Town Council Sworn In At Same Time
New and returning members of Vienna Town Council and Mayor Linda Colbert were sworn in for the new term.

VIENNA, VA — The newly-elected Vienna Town Council is ready to begin work in 2024 after being sworn in Tuesday.
Returning Town Council members are Mayor Linda Colbert, Chuck Anderson, Ray Brill and Howard Springsteen. New Council members are Sandra Allen, Roy Baldwin and Jessica Ramakis.
This was the first time all Vienna Town Council members and mayor were sworn in at the same time. Vienna's town elections used to happen in May but were moved to November due to a new Virginia law. Town Council members are no longer on staggered two-year terms.

The results were decided days after the Nov. 7 election due to write-in tallies receiving enough votes for the sixth Town Council seat along with Springsteen, Anderson, Brill, Ramakis and Baldwin. Votes were tallied to determine which write-in candidate received votes, but it was determined no candidate received enough votes. Allen was then confirmed as the sixth winner.
Previous Town Council members who did not seek re-election were Nisha Patel, Steve Potter and Ed Somers.
