Vienna Restaurant Violations: Mice Droppings Found
Health inspectors found mice droppings at a Vienna restaurant. See how other restaurants fared during inspections.

VIENNA, VA — Fairfax County regularly conducts health inspections for local restaurants. The frequency of inspections on the type of food served and how it is prepared.
“In our experience, it is unrealistic to expect that a complex, full-service food operation can routinely avoid any violations,” states the Virginia Department of Health’s website.
Here are some of the violations from recent inspections in late July and early August. Among the violations were rodent droppings found near mixing bowl equipment at Manhattan Pizza.

Caboose Brewing Company: 520 Mill St NE, VIENNA, VA 22180, last inspection: July 28
violations: employees not wearing hair restraints, unlabeled food containers, improper method of cooling foods, foods cold holding at improper temperatures, food contact areas not appearing to be sanitized, unlabeled toxic cleaning materials
Coastal Flats: 7860-L Tyson's Corner Center, Mclean, VA 22101, last inspection: Aug. 2
violations: employees preparing food without gloves, milk, half and half cold holding at improper temperatures in prep cooler, prep cooler not operating properly
Domino's: 2972-A Chain Bridge Rd, Oakton, VA 22124, last inspection: July 31 (follow up)
violation: wall near sink has mold/mildew buildup, location closed until a certified food manager is present
Kizuna Restaurant: 8221 Leesburg Pike, VIENNA, VA 22182, last inspection: July 31
violations: food stored on/near floor, foods cold holding at improper temperatures, foods not used or discarded within 24 hours, sushi display case not operating properly, interior cookline in need of cleaning, cooking equipment under hood system has accumulation of grease and debris, floor under cooking equipment and freezer floor in need of cleaning (not all 14 violations included above)
