VIENNA, VA—A new developer has acquired the old Marco Polo Restaurant site in Vienna and will move forward with a mixed-use development.

Northfield Investment and Development plans to add a retail market with six stores under condo townhouses, Washington Business Journal reported. The plan for the site was approved last year for the site's former owner, Vienna Vision.

The vacant Marco Polo restaurant was the site of a massive blaze last October. Two teens were charged with arson and destruction of property.
