Person Seen Breaking Into Vehicle In Vienna: Police
There have been occasional strings of car break-ins in Vienna. One resident witnessed a break-in during the early morning hours.
VIENNA, VA — The Town of Vienna has seen a slew of car break-ins during certain weeks. This time around a person was actually seen entering a car early Monday, Jan. 27.
The incident happened in the 200 Block Walnut Lane NW between 4:30 a.m. and 4:38 a.m. A resident had noticed the light on in his van and spotted someone inside. The resident banged on the window of his home, prompting the person to flee from the vehicle.
Change was reported stolen from the vehicle. Officers searched the area but did not locate the suspect. A suspect description was not provided.

That was the only car break-in reported in the Jan. 24 to 30 Vienna crime report. The last series of car break-ins happened in late December. In addition, there were two reports of stolen vehicles. Vienna Police urge residents to lock car doors, remove valuables and keys and report suspicious activity.

An unknown person forced entry into a shed and caused damage to property belonging to the Vienna Little League.

Skorpio’s Maggio’s Greek Family Restaurant
421 Maple Avenue, East
Between January 26 at 10:00 p.m. and January 27 at 10:30 a.m.
An employee reported that someone spat on the front door of the restaurant.

An employee reported that someone vandalized the sidewalk, furniture and statue in front of their restaurant.
