Police Seek Suspect in Vienna Metro Kidnapping
Woman was exiting the Vienna Metrorail Station Thursday at 12:40 a.m. when she was carjacked at gunpoint; she was released in Maryland.

Metro Transit Police are seeking the public’s assistance to identify a person of interest in a carjacking/kidnapping investigation that started at the Vienna Metro, Metro Transit Police said in a news release Saturday afternoon.
At approximately 12:40 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, Metro Transit Police were notified of a carjacking/kidnapping incident.
The victim reported that a suspect approached her vehicle as she was exiting the Vienna Metrorail Station, displayed a handgun, entered the vehicle and forced her to drive to several ATMs to withdraw cash. The suspect released the victim at the New Carrollton Metrorail Station and left the scene.

The victim, an adult female, was not injured during the incident.
Metro Transit Police are leading the investigation and are working cooperatively with Prince George’s County Police and Fairfax County Police.
