There are plenty of local spinoffs of the official Oktoberfest in Germany.
The massive Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany officially kicked off Sept. 21 and will run through Oct. 6. Even if a trip to Munich isn't in your future, there are plenty of spinoff events inspired by the original.
