I-66 West Ramp At Nutley Street Interchange To Close For 6 Weeks
A ramp from Virginia Center Boulevard to westbound I-66 near the Vienna/Fairfax - GMU Metrorail Station will be closed for six weeks.

FAIRFAX, VA — Virginia Department of Transportation will be closing another ramp temporarily as part of the ongoing construction at the Nutley Street/I-66 Interchange near the Vienna/Fairfax - GMU Metrorail Station.
On or around May 13, VDOT will be closing the ramp from Virginia Center Boulevard to West I-66 for approximately six weeks. The closure will begin at approximately 10 a.m.
Drivers wishing to access westbound I-66 will from Virginia Center Boulevard will need to continue traveling to the traffic light at Nutley Street and turn right. They will then be directed to take a lefthand turn to access the I-66 West ramp.

A future ramp from Vaden Drive will allow buses to access the westbound I-66 Express lane. These will only be open to buses during the construction period to allow them to continue their scheduled service.

Construction at the Nutley Street/I-66 Interchange is expected to continue through 2022. The work is part of the ongoing Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project.
When work is finished at the interchange, drivers will navigate two roundabouts, which will make exiting and entering I-66 safer. There will also be additional improvements to allow for safer traveling for vehicles and pedestrians on Nutley Street.
All construction work is subject to weather conditions and may be rescheduled.
