Sexual Assault Arrest, Thefts From Vehicles: Vienna Crime Report

VIENNA, VA — Vienna Police made a sexual assault arrest and investigated other incidents over the last week in Vienna.

Police executed a search warrant on July 29 at Vienna Green Spa in relation to a sexual assault allegation from July 18. A resident reported being assaulted by a massage therapist during a massage. Police arrested Hongsub "Greg" Song, 51, of Burke and charged with sexual assault and performing a massage without a town permit. He was held without bond at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.

Below are other notable incidents police responded to during the week of July 30 and Aug. 5. Arrests do not always mean a person was physically taken into custody and do not mean a person is automatically guilty of a crime. Petit Larceny 21-003866

800 Maple Avenue, East
July 18 between 5:45 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.
A citizen reported that he parked hisvehicle in the country club parking lot with the windows open. When he returned to his vehicle, he found someone had stolen the U.S. currency that he had left on the seat.

Between July 26 at 11:00 p.m. and July 27 at 6:00 a.m.
A resident reported that someone stole prescription sunglasses from his unlocked vehicle.

Stolen Vehicle Recovery 21-004154

July 31 11:16 p.m.
A citizen reported that he filed a stolen vehicle report in Miami, Florida after he found his vehicle was missing from his condominium’s garage on July 13, 2021. The citizen advisedthathis estranged wife resides in Vienna and he believes she may have stolen it. An officer spoke to the estranged wife who agreed to bring the vehicle to the Vienna Police Station. Arrangements were made with the owner to come to Virginia and retrieve his vehicle. This case is under investigation.

August 1 1:30 p.m.Officers responded to the report of juveniles on the roof of the school. An officer located the two juveniles and notified their parents. School Security did not wish to pursue charges for trespassing. The juveniles were released to the custody of their parents.

Arrest –Domestic Assault 21-004189
Locust Street, SE
August 3 12:00 a.m.
Officers responded to assist rescue. A man stated that his mother was intoxicated and needed medical assistance. Officers located the resident in her apartment. She reported that her son returned home from a casino and requested money from her. When she refused to give him money, her son physically assaulted her, causing visible injuries. During the assault,he also threatened her with a large knife. The son then called 911 requesting rescue personnel respond to treat his mom. The resident refused medical treatment but was later transported to the hospital by another family member.
PFC Murray arrested the 21-year-old man from Locust Street, SE, Vienna. He was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and charged with Domestic Assault and served with an Emergency Protective Order.
