Summer Fun In Vienna: Kids On The Green, Stories And Sprinklers

Kids can enjoy water sprinklers, stories, interactive entertainment and more during the summer break.

VIENNA, VA—While the kids are home from school for the summer, the Town of Vienna is offering a pair of activities to keep them entertained.

The new Kids on the Green events are interactive programs tailored for younger children. The free performances will be held on the Town Green on Tuesdays at 10 a.m. from June 19-July 24.

Please bring chairs or blankets. In the event of bad weather call the Town of Vienna's information line at 703-255-7842.

Here is the schedule of performers:

  • June 19: Mr. Gabe interactive kids songs & dance
  • June 26: Beech Tree Puppets presents ‘The Giant Turnip’
  • July 3: Wildlife Ambassadors- live animal show
  • July 10: Peter McCory- one man kids band
  • July 17: Blue Sky Puppets presents ‘The Three Not So Little Pigs’
  • July 24: Bill Wellington- kids songs & storytelling

Another event is the Summer Stories, Songs, and Sprinklers series at 1 p.m. Wednesdays from June 20-Aug. 8. The Town of Vienna, in partnership with Historic Vienna, Inc., will offer story readings, music and fun with water sprinklers. The event takes place on the lawn of the Freeman Store, 131 Church Street NE. This event will not take place July 4.
