VIENNA, VA — Fans of classic video games can have an evening of nostalgia with a Video Game Music Night concert being hosted at a Vienna church Saturday.

The Church of the Good Shepherd, a United Methodist church located at 2351 Hunter Mill Road in Vienna, is inviting the community to its free Good Beats Ensemble concert at 6 p.m. Saturday. The concert will take place in the sanctuary of the church.

The concert features Good Beats, a nonprofit ensemble, founded by musicians and husband and wife duo, Drs. Hansel Lee and Dr. Rachel Choe Lee. The nonprofit's mission is to inspire, heal and connect through music. Good Shepherd Pastor Eric Song has known Hansel Lee for 20 years.

"We are excited that the community can come together to enjoy this music — great for all ages — in a creative way," said Song in a statement. "Music can bring us all together in a time when there is so much chaos in our world."

The concert will feature tunes from Super Mario, Kirby, Final Fantasy and more classic video games.

"Although this particular concert features song selections from various ‘classic’ video games, all of the performers are classically trained, with many still performing at prestigious concert halls and teaching in academic settings," said Lee.

The concert is free to attend, but donations will be accepted for Good Beats Ensemble's work, including performances at Children's National Hospital, Fairfax County adult day health care centers and more locations. Light refreshments and a free raffle for merchandise will be held.

Good Beats Ensemble will hold a similar concert at 4 p.m. Sunday at Christ Crossman United Methodist Church, 384 N. Washington St. in Falls Church.
