Video: New Kilmer Center Principal Shares Thoughts on New Job, Students

Jane Quennville was hired on July 6 and this is her first school year in Vienna. She has a long history working in special education.

When former Kilmer Center principal Michael Romanelli announced his retirement in March, Fairfax County Public School officials were tasked with finding new leadership for the school for the second time in five years.

Eventually they settled on Jane Quennville, whose background in special education proved her qualification for the job. She was hired on July 6 and is now preparing for her first year on the job in Vienna.

Kilmer Center is a school that caters to students with physical and/or intellectual disabilities. It serves roughly 80 students, and those students range in age from as young as 5 to as old as 20.
