A college student from Vienna was recently named Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball League Pitcher of the week.
Ryan Deckert, who attends Tallahassee Community College, was given the honor. Deckert is a rising sophomore at the college and plays on the Vienna Riverdogs.
Deckert was given the award after recently pitching a seven-inning shutout, according to a news release.
