VIENNA, VA—Rankings site HomeSnacks has again named Vienna the best place to live in the state.

The study ranked the best place to live in every state—and the best places overall in the U.S. The results were based on a number of factors: median home values, median income, population density, unemployment rate, commute time, crime, education levels, health insurance coverage and poverty rates. The numbers came from the latest U.S. Census and FBI Crime data.

Cities were ranked on a scale of one to 10 for various factors. Vienna scored well on education, housing, safety, amenities and jobs. It's no surprise that Vienna didn't score as high on affordability and commutes.

The FBI's crime data from 2017 shows just how safe Vienna is compared to the average American community. The overall crime rate is 24.1 per 100,000 people, while the nationwide average is 382.9 per 100,000.
