VIENNA, VA — After over two decades in Tysons, Dr. Nicole Van has moved her dental practice to her hometown of Vienna.

VanSmileDesign, a locally-owned family dentist for 28 years, is open at 139 Church Street NW, Suite A. The move from Tysons happened just after the Christmas holiday, Van told Patch.

"Just being on historic Church Street feels a lot more small town as opposed to our previous Tysons location," said Van.

Van is a dentist who grew up with parents who were entrepreneurs in the healthcare industry and was open in Vienna before 20 years in Tysons. She had been searching for a new location for two years as the office outgrew its Tysons location.

Not only is the new Vienna building an ideal small-town location on Vienna's Church Street, but it also gave Van flexibility to do interior and exterior renovations. The office has an open concept layout and all new technology, including an advanced sterilization system, CAD/CAM digital technology and digital radiography that reduces radiation for x-rays. The dentist brought on two more doctors at the new location.

As another benefit, Van says the Vienna location feels more like a town business since her family has lived there for 12 years. She's been involved in the Vienna community through support for local sports teams, schools, charities and sponsorships.

Van says all of the patients from the Tysons location transferred, and new patients became aware of the dentist by walking in. Some patients travel from as far as Baltimore and northern Maryland after working in Virginia.

"We feel like there's a close-knit community in our neighborhoods, the schools and the people," said Van. "We just feel a lot of the small town support, just a lot of warmth."

VanSmileDesign offers a variety of dental services, including routine checkups, basic dental procedures, and complex cosmetic and reconstructive work. For more information, visit www.VanSmileDesign.com.
