Cartoonist Sophia Glock discusses art, publishing, and dreamsJoin us in welcoming local author and artist Sophia Glock to Bards Alley for a talk about the process of drawing, writing, and publishing a graphic novel! Her most recent book is Before We Wake, an ethereal YA romance that explores the world of lucid dreams.
Alternating between a spare and vibrant visual palette, the novel follows two teenagers who discover a psychic connection between their sleeping selves, which complicates their waking lives. Glock previously made her debut with Passport, a graphic memoir chronicling her childhood as the daughter of CIA operatives.
Copies of both books will be available for purchase and a signing after the discussion. This event is recommended for teenagers ages 12 and up as well as adults.
