The Health Wagon’s 27th annual Move Mountains Medical Mission (M7) will return July 10–11, 2026, at The Health Wagon campus in Wise, Virginia, continuing its mission of delivering free healthcare services to uninsured, underinsured, unemployed, and underserved individuals and families throughout Southwest Virginia and the surrounding Appalachian region. The two-day outreach event will bring together hundreds of volunteer healthcare professionals, universities, students, community organizations, and healthcare partners from across the country to provide compassionate, high-quality care at no cost to patients. A separate drive-through veterinary clinic will also be held at the Wise County Fairgrounds, offering services for pets and animals in the community.
Medical services offered during the event will include family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, psychiatry, orthopedics, plastic surgery, dermatology, rheumatology and endocrinology telehealth consultations, sports physicals, substance use counseling, and pastoral care. Diagnostic and preventive services will include blood work, EKGs, pulmonary testing, imaging, cancer screenings, bone density testing, ultrasounds, echocardiograms, and diabetes management. Women’s health services will feature mammograms, Pap smears, breast exams, and follow-up specialty care.
Additional services will include dental cleanings, fillings, extractions, oral cancer screenings, vision exams, glaucoma testing, prescription glasses, hearing screenings, medication assistance, Medicaid enrollment support, health education, nutrition demonstrations, mental health education, financial counseling, food assistance, children’s activities, and community resource information. The veterinary clinic at the Wise County Fairgrounds will provide vaccinations, wellness exams, limited medications, pet supplies, and referrals for spay and neuter services.
Since its founding in 1999 by Dr. Teresa Tyson and Sister Bernie Kenny, M7 has grown into one of the region’s largest free healthcare outreach events, serving thousands of patients through the dedication of volunteers and community partners committed to improving healthcare access and bringing hope to underserved communities.
