Bascom Slemp Federal Building have been returned after intervention by Rep. Morgan Griffith with support from Sens. Mark Warner and Tim Kaine. The building is described as a key historic site for Southwest Virginia and Wise County communities and is being considered for preservation projects that could highlight the restored mailboxes.
