Armed Burglars Sought By Police In Woodbridge
The Prince William County Police Department is looking for armed burglars who ransacked a Woodbridge home and stole money and a phone.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — Armed burglars targeted a home in Woodbridge on Tuesday, July 27, according to the Prince William County Police Department. Authorities said the suspects, who ransacked the apartment before stealing money and a phone, are still at large.
The investigation is still ongoing, but authorities noted that they do not think the incident was random.
Officers responded to the River Oaks apartment complex at 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 27. A resident called police to report a home invasion, according to an incident report from the police department.

The resident told officers that several men with guns forced their way into the apartment. Then, the burglars ransacked the apartment before leaving with the residents' money and phone, according to the police department.
A police K-9 responded to the area to search for the suspects. The burglars were not located, police said.

No injuries were reported in the burglary, authorities said.
During their investigation, officers claimed they found "suspected marijuana and packaging material inside the apartment," according to the police report. The resident of the apartment, who was not identified by authorities, was charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
Authorities said they do not believe the burglary was random. However, they did not state whether the burglary was related to the presence of marijuana.
One suspect was described as a light-skinned Black man who is about 6 feet tall. At the time of the burglary, he was wearing a coat, a white shirt, and jeans.
The other burglars did not receive full descriptions. Police said they were wearing all black and ski masks.
