Woodbridge Homicide Victims: $34K Donated By Friends, Strangers, Neighbors For Funerals
After one week, GoFundMe campaigns to pay the funeral costs of four Woodbridge homicide victims combined to raise $34,000.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — Last week, four people were killed at their home in Woodbridge. Now, three GoFundMe campaigns have combined to raise $34,000 to help the victims' families pay funeral expenses.
The day after the shooting, police identified the victims as Miguel Flores, Kelly Baltazar, Karrie Sotelo, and Richard Julio Jesus Revollar Corrales.
Flores and Baltazar were a married couple who celebrated their wedding earlier this year. Sotelo was Baltazar's daughter; she was a 19-year-old student at Northern Virginia Community College.

Corrales's campaign is still accepting donations. It has raised $6,750 so far.
In total, more than 500 people donated money to the families. The average donation was about $67.
David Maine, the man accused of killing four of his housemates, previously served in the United States Marine Corps. He was originally charged with reckless handling of a firearm after he shot himself, but prosecutors dropped the charge in April.
Maine is currently charged with four counts of second-degree murder after four people were found dead at his home in Woodbridge last week. He is being held without bond, and his next court date is set for Dec. 13, 2022.
The victims' families have not announced dates or public plans for any funeral services.
Several people left comments on the campaigns, offering words of support for the families and sharing memories of the victims.
"Our hearts are so heavy that this tragedy has occurred and we shall continue to keep your family in our thoughts and prayers during this heartbreaking time," Cynthia Kolbe-Rojas wrote on the page for Baltazar and Flores. "We know that you will continue to hold their cherished memories in your hearts as they’ll live on forever there."
Some people donated to the campaign without knowing the victims personally.
"I wish I had known him. He seemed like a wonderful person," Karen Gray Edwards wrote on Corrales's campaign. "I live close to where this happened and consider all of the victims my neighbors whether I knew then or not. My deepest condolences for your loss."
Several of the comments on the GoFundMe campaigns were written in Spanish.
"Siempre estaras presente Cheito," Jessica Zagal wrote on Coralles's page. "Jamas te olvidaremos."
Zagal's comment notes that Corrales will always be present, and he will not be forgotten.
