Fourth Suspect in Shootout Nabbed in Norfolk

March 21 incident on Dumfries-area road left one wounded.

U.S. marshals on Wednesday apprehended the fourth suspect in a March 21 shootout between two speeding cars near Dumfries.

The Prince William County police announced that members of a fugitive task force located and arrested Andre Vaunquez Perry, 22, in Norfolk. The other three suspects were apprehended last week, soon after the shootout, but Perry remained at large, and police warned the public that he was armed and dangerous.

Perry faces an array of criminal charges, including shooting into an occupied dwelling, three counts of felony destruction of property, one count of misdemeanor destruction of property, one count of malicious wounding, one count of attempted malicious wounding, one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, one count shooting along a roadway, one count of shooting from a moving vehicle and one count of shooting at a moving vehicle.

Perry’s next date in court is pending, police said. He allegedly drove one of the cars that sped down Swans Creek Lane and fired a gun at the other car.

Several homes and one car were struck by bullets in the March 21 fracas, Prince William police said, and a passenger in the other car was grazed by a bullet. No other injuries were reported.

The wounded passenger is Deante Gaines, 19, a Stafford County resident. He was arrested on March 23 by U.S. marshals in Washington, D.C., where he is awaiting extradition.

Gaines allegedly fired a gun in the shootout, and he is charged with two counts of shooting into an occupied dwelling, one count of shooting from a moving vehicle and one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Prince William County police on March 24 arrested the other two suspects:

  • Brianna Milan Colbert, 19, of 16168 Taconic Circle in Woodbridge. She was a passenger in a red Kia driven by Perry, and is charged with three counts of principal in the second degree for shooting into an occupied dwelling.
  • Paulina Mariel Gomez-Larroque, 18, of 5213 Box Turtle Court in Woodbridge, drove the other car, a gold Saab, in the shootout, police said. She’s charged with one count of principal in the second degree for shooting into an occupied dwelling.
