Lake Ridge Mom Charged With Child Neglect

Prince William County police: Living conditions for two young kids were 'unsafe.'

Prince William County police arrested a Lake Ridge woman on Sunday evening after finding that her two young daughters were living in “unsanitary and unsafe conditions,” according to a police report.

Amber Rose Gamse, 33, of 2902 Madeira Court, was charged with two counts of felony child neglect. She was jailed on a $1,500 bond, and her next date in court is pending, the police report said.

With the assistance of the county’s Child Protective Services office, the two children - a three-year-old girl and a four-year-old girl - were placed in the custody of another family member, the police said.

The police said they determined that the two girls were living in poor conditions when they responded at 7 p.m. Sunday to Gamse’s home in Lake Ridge to check on the welfare of the residents.

Following an investigation, Gamse was arrested without incident.
