Police: U.S. Marshals Apprehend Suspect in Woodbridge Stabbing

He faces robbery, malicious wounding charges in April 14 marijuana heist, say Prince William County police.

U.S. marshals arrested a Woodbridge man last week who was allegedly involved in a recent robbery and stabbing.

Timothy Racen Brown, 23, of the 14200 block of Fontana Court, faces charges of aggravated malicious wounding, robbery, abduction and burglary, according to a statement from the Prince William County police. He was allegedly involved in an April 14 robbery in which another young man was stabbed in the hand during a marijuana buy.

Members of the U.S. Marshals’ Fugitive Task Force located and arrested Brown on Thursday in Hyattsville, Md., without incident, the Prince William police said. Brown was awaiting extradition back to Virginia. His next date in court is scheduled for June 3.

Police detectives were still seeking to identify the suspect who accompanied Brown to the Woodbridge residence, in the 14600 block of Brook Drive, where the robbery occurred.

Brown and the other suspect went there to purchase marijuana, according to police. During the encounter, one suspect displayed a knife and cut the victim, a 19-year-old Woodbridge man, in the hand before taking pot and a handgun belonging to the victim.

The suspects fled the area before police arrived. The victim sustained a non-life-threatening injury and was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Police obtained a search warrant and searched the victim’s home for narcotics, the report added.
