Suspicious Device At Woodbridge Commuter Lot Deemed Safe: Police
A suspicious device shut down the Horner Commuter Lot in Woodbridge for several hours on Wednesday before authorities said it was safe.
WOODBRIDGE, VA — A suspicious device shut down the Horner Commuter Lot in Woodbridge on Wednesday morning, the Prince William County Police Department said.
Authorities eventually determined that the device was safe and reopened the lot.
The suspicious device was reported to police around 8:45 a.m. Police officials said the device was spotted underneath a vehicle. Police officers from Prince William County and Virginia State troopers responded to assess the device.

Around 11 a.m., authorities announced that the device was not dangerous. "The device has been inspected and deemed safe, possibly construction equipment that fell off a vehicle," the police department said.
Police officers began clearing the area and lifted any restrictions on the lot. The police department noted that there may be some residual impacts for commuters throughout the day.
